Unable to attend?

For customers unable to attend the auction, they may leave an absentee bid with the auctioneer, also known as a Commission bid. We are happy to undertake to bid on your behalf and purchase the lot as cheaply as possible, other bids and reserves permitting.

Telephone bidding works in a similar way to absentee bidding, however a member of staff will telephone you just before your chosen lot comes under the hammer. You will then be able to bid live over the telephone, with the member of staff conveying your bid to the auctioneer. The minimum lot value for a telephone bid is £100. Absentee and telephone bids are offered as a free service and at the buyer’s risk, we cannot accept liability for any failure to place such bids.

We hold a varied selection of auctions throughout the year, to suit most collectors needs and also to provide the private individual with the chance to buy affordable antiques for their home. These include a monthly Antique auction interspersed with specialist Toy and Collectors auctions, and also Classic Car, Motorbike and Automobilia auctions.

Customers wishing to attend an auction will be asked to register to bid on sale day. We require your full name, address, telephone number and in certain circumstances a bank reference. You will be then given a number with which to bid. When an item is sold and you wish to bid, please raise your paddle clearly so the auctioneer can see and he will acknowledge your bid.
